In this lesson, you will learn how to record a Zoom session and how to upload that recording to your course.
To record a Zoom session for your students to access, you will need a Zoom event in your course. See the previous page, Create a Zoom Course Event, for instructions on how to create a Zoom event.
Record a Zoom Session
After you start a Zoom session, you will see the Record option at the bottom of the Zoom window.
Click Record to begin recording your session. When you are done with your session, click End Meeting, and your Zoom recording will be saved to your computer.
Upload a Zoom Recording
To upload a Zoom recording to your course, you first need to locate the recording you created. Below, you will learn how to locate your Zoom recordings.
- Find the Zoom folder on your computer.
- Choose the folder with the date and time of the recording you wish to upload.
- Select the .mp4 version of the Zoom file.
Add a Recorded Zoom to an Announcement
Once you have located the Zoom file, you can add a recorded Zoom meeting to an Announcement.
- Open Announcements by selecting the Announcements link from the course navigation menu.
- Then, click Make an Announcement.
After you have written the text of your Announcement, select the Files tab in the content selector to the right. Simply choose the Zoom file to upload.
Add a Zoom Meeting to Youtube
Due to file restrictions in an Ember Course, you could run out of space for class files by uploading every Zoom meeting. The video below shows you how to add a Zoom Meeting to Youtube.
